PCL work with a wide range of social housing providers and other organisations, we have delivered over 50 energy saving events and exhibitions over the past 3 years.
PCL are happy to attend resident forums and other events to provide free energy saving advice and guidance to residents.

Home Visits
During the winter months tenants can find they are struggling to pay their energy bills and are often unsure who to approach for help and advice. PCL has been carrying out home visits to such tenants over the winter months to help them understand how they are using their energy and take steps to reduce this where possible. Advice such as cheaper energy tariff options, social tariffs and agencies who can help with fuel debt are also provided. This is currently a limited scheme due to the time each visit can take but PCL will be looking to expand this service over the coming months.

Smart Meters
PCL in partnership with Cross Keys Homes is currently developing a smart meter trial for tenants in the Peterborough area. The project will see PCL deliver smart energy monitors to tenants along with advice on easy ways to save energy in the home. The monitor will provide a way for tenants to see how much energy individual appliances use and work out how much energy and money they can save by modifying the way they use energy. The results will be closely monitored to assess the impact on energy use.

Social Energy Tariff
A new energy tariff has recently been launched by our chosen energy provider designed to help those most at need. The tariff enables customers at risk of fuel poverty to access cheaper energy rates and help to reduce their energy consumption.
